Last full week of December

8th grade Spanish students have begun a new story unit, which will be their third story unit this school year. This week's stories included:
* Tatiana quiere un novio nuevo (Tatiana wants a New Boyfriend)
* Mi prima Natacha (My Cousin Natacha)

7th grade Spanish students have begun their first unit of the second trimester. This is a 4-part story series about a boy named Gabi and his disorganization. Students have completed the first two chapters of this series. Students have discussed their own organization habits and daily routines as a result of the content in these stories. The stories this week included:
* Los padres de Gabi (Gabi's Parents)
* La cucaracha (The Cockroach)

The Start of T2

8th grade Spanish students have begun a new story unit, which will be their third story unit this school year. This week's stories included:
* Martín la mochila (Martin the Backpack)
* Un día en la vida de María (A day in the Life of Maria)

7th grade Spanish students have begun their first unit of the second trimester. This is a 4-part story series about a boy named Gabi and his disorganization. Students have completed the first two chapters of this series. Students have discussed their own organization habits and daily routines asa result of the content in these stories. The stories this week included:
* El armario de Gabi (Gabi's Locker)
* ¡Qué asco! (How Gross!)

6th grade Spanish students did the following MovieTalk this week:
* Regalos terribles
* El gato de Simon: La caja

The last week of T1

8th grade Spanish students have begun their final unit for the first trimester. This is a 4-part story series about a boy named Gabi and his disorganization. Students have completed the next two chapters of this series. Students have discussed their own organization habits and daily routines asa result of the content in these stories. The stories this week included:
* Los padres de Gabi (Gabi's Parents)
* La cucaracha (The Cockroach)

7th grade Spanish students did their MovieTalk assessment this week based on the following short film:
* Fresh Guacamole https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNJdJIwCF_Y
* ¿Quién soy? (Who am I?) Students ended their MovieTalk unit with a Who am I? activity where they heard and read descriptions of movie stars and had to guess on teams based on their knowledge of Spanish descriptions.
Students had to demonstrate their learning of the new structures introduced during this unit. Students created their own MovieTalks entirely in Spanish and showed their stories to the class or myself.
