End of February

8th grade Spanish students began their Reader's Theatre unit. Students were divided into groups and each group was assigned a skit to perform for the class. Performances will take place next Tuesday. The following skits will be performed in Spanish:
* Pollito Pequeño (Chicken Little)
* Los tres osos y la niña (Goldilocks and the Three Bears)
* Las tres cabras Gruff (The Three Billy Goats Gruff)
* Hansel y Gretel (Hansel and Gretel)

7th grade Spanish students began their fist novela of the year, "El nuevo Houdini." This week's chapters included:
* Capítulo uno: "Una situación horrible" (A Horrible Situation)
* Capítulo dos: "Adiós" (Good-bye)


6th grade Spanish students finished with their first novela "Las aventuras de Isabela." This week we read:
Capítulo diez: "Sam"
* El gato feo (The Ugly Cat)

The week before break

8th grade Spanish students finished their unit of their novela "El nuevo Houdini" (The New Houdini). Students read the following chapters this week:
* Capítulo nueve: "Una foto especial" (A Special Photo--For 8th grade students who missed this chapter last week due to the snow day)
* Capítulo diez: "El nuevo Houdini" (The New Houdini) 

7th grade Spanish students continued their new year with the following TPR stories:
* Carros elegantes (Fancy Cars)
* La vida de Erik Weiz (The Life of Erik Weiz)


6th grade Spanish students continued with their first novela "Las aventuras de Isabela." This week we read:
Capítulo nueve: "La oficina del veterinario" (The Veteranarian's Office)

First week of February

8th grade Spanish students continued their unit of their novela "El nuevo Houdini" (The New Houdini). Students read the following chapters this week:
* Capítulo ocho: "¡Una cita indescriptible(An Indescribable Date)
* Capítulo nueve: "Una foto especial" (A Special Photo)

7th grade Spanish students continued their new year with the following TPR stories:
* Students did a Kahoot review of the following stories:
* Martín la mochila (Martin the Backpack)
* Tatiana quiere un novio nuevo (Tatiana wants and New Boyfriend)
* Mi prima Natacha (My Cousin Natacha)
* Students began doing pre-reading activities about their newest novela of the year, about the author and her inspiration for the book.

6th grade Spanish students continued with their first novela "Las aventuras de Isabela." This week we read:
Capítulo siete: "Tortillas y helado" (Tortillas and Ice Cream)
Capítulo ocho: "La panadería" (The Bakery)
