8th grade Spanish students have finished their last book of the year "Brandon Brown versus Yucatán." The final chapters were:
* Capítulo ocho: ¡Delicuentes! (Delinquents!)
* Capítulo nueve: ¡Arrestados! (Arrested!)
* Capítulo diez: Sorpresas (Surprises)
7th grade Spanish students have begun their final book of the year. Students are reading the present tense version of "Brandon Brown versus Yucatán." We have read chapters 5 and 6 this past week:
* Capítulo cinco: Chicos aventureros (Adventure Boys)
* Capítulo seis: Mala influencia (Bad Influence)
6th grade Spanish students began their unit surrounding "La Tomatina" and the "Running of the Bulls." Students are learning about these two important celebrations and Spain and doing an end-of-the-year compare/contrast project that demonstrates their understanding of how Spaniards celebrate special occasions.

Progress Reports this week
8th grade Spanish students have continued their last book of the year "Brandon Brown versus Yucatán." We continued to read chapter 7 but had an abbreviated week due to NWEA testing.
* Capítulo siete: Chichén Itzá
7th grade Spanish students have begun their final book of the year. Students are reading the present tense version of "Brandon Brown versus Yucatán." We have read chapters 3 and 4 thus far:
* Capítulo tres: El hombre malo (The Bad Man)
* Capítulo cuatro: Un amigo para Brandon (A Friend for Brandon)
6th grade Spanish students began their unit using "Spanish Agreement." Students are now expected to make their sentences "agree" in number and in gender with their speaking/writing. Students did free writes to demonstrate this new skill.
