¡Hola! Welcome Back!
Dear 6th, 7th, and 8th graders and their families. We have been off to a great start in Spanish and I am delighted to have many students from past years as well as some fresh new faces! This is going to be the best year yet! Some things we have been doing for our first week include:
6th graders have been learning the routines and procedures for our classroom for the first time. They have been doing some light review of elementary Spanish and we will be doing some activities next week that will help me learn their interests and personalities so I can work those into our lessons everyday. Their first graded assignment is called "¡Se Busca!" (Wanted!) These grades will be posted on Infinite Campus very soon.
7th graders have been reviewing our routines and procedures and will begin their first unit this coming week called, "Mi amigo se llama..." in which they will introduce a friend in class and tell us about their interests, hobbies, sports, etc. Students will share with the class late next week and this will be their first graded activity for T1.
8th graders have been reviewing our routines and procedures and will begin their first unit this coming week on "La hora." 8th graders seem very ready to hit the ground running and I am excited to up the ante and see what they can do this year.
