Progress Reports

Note to all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. Progress report grades are being entered this week. Please be sure to check Infinite Campus to check for any work that is outstanding. I am available after school or block 7 if a student needs help.

8th grade students have continued their first short story unit. Students learn different structures in Spanish with each chapter. Students are asked guiding questions both written and orally and are asked to act in different scenarios each chapter. Students have completed the following stories with the structures indicated:
* Lluvia de Reese's (Raining Reese's) (toma, está)
* Kahoot Review of stories (Lluvia de Reese's, La tortilla española, & Juliette quiere un coche)
Students are asked guiding questions both written and orally and are given a listening quiz with each story. Next week students are beginning their first novela of the year called "Tumba" which surrounds traditions of Day of the Dead.

7th grade Spanish students have continued their second story unit of the trimester. Students learn different structures in Spanish with each chapter. Students are asked guiding questions both written and orally and are asked to act in different scenarios each chapter. Students have completed the following stories with the structures indicated:
* Relájate (Relax) (probar, se siente, hacer)
* Kahoot Review of stories (El canguro que se llama Charlie, Relájate, & Kevin va a la jungla)
Students are asked guiding questions both written and orally and are given a listening quiz with each story.

6th grade Spanish students have now completed their first MovieTalk unit of the trimester and have begun their first short story unit.Students are asked guiding questions both written and orally and are asked to act in different scenarios each chapter. Students have completed the following stories with the structures indicated:
* El gato feo (The Ugly Cat) (vive, quiere, tiene)
* La familia Rodriguez (The Rodriguez Family) (son, es, de)
Students are asked guiding questions both written and orally and are given a listening quiz with each story.
