¡El día de los muertos!

8th grade students have begun their first mini-novela of the year called "Tumba." This book features events surrounding El día de los muertos (Day of the Dead). Each chapter will take us into new linguistic and cultural territory with regards to this important Mexican celebration. This week we read the following chapters:
* Capítulo uno: "Nervioso" (Nervious)
* Capítulo dos: "Poemas" (Poems)

7th grade Spanish students have started their unit on "El día de los muertos" (The Day of the Dead). Students watched a slideshow surrounding this major Mexican holiday, viewed music videos, and re-created authentic Mexican artifacts (calacas and mascaras).
